The written entrance tests for restricted courses MH103 Music and MH116/MH117 Community & Youth Work will take place on Saturday 31st March 2012. Both will take place on the South Campus, NUI Maynooth and applicants that have entered these restricted courses on their CAO application will be written to with details of the tests in the second week in March.
The MH103 Music test will take place from 11.30am to 1.00pm
A sample Music test is available on pages 148-149 of the 2012 prospectus.
Interviews and auditions for MH103 Music will take place during the first week in May.
MH116/MH117 Community & Youth Work registration and submission of personal statements will take place from 1.30pm to 2.30pm in Pugin Hall, South Campus with the test taking place from 3.00pm to 4.00pm.
The test will take the form of "essay type" questions related to the subject. For preparation applicants can read up on relevant material in the prospectus and also the Departmental website.
Applicants for MH116/MH117 will also be required to bring a personal statement outlining your reasons for wanting to do this course (in no more than 350 words), two written references and work experience information with them on the day in a sealed envelope that will be sent to you to call you for the written test.
Interviews for MH116/MH117 Community & Youth Work will take place mid April/May.
