National University of Ireland, Maynooth is holding a CAO Advisory Evening at the University on the evening of Wednesday 10th January 2007. This event is being organised for Leaving Certificate applicants and their parents, mature students and non-standard applicants, and will provide an opportunity for them to have all of their questions answered in relation to college entry. The event will take place in the Foyer of the John Hume Building, on the North Campus (entrance Kilcock Road), commencing at 7.30pm and running until 9.30pm. Tea and coffee will be available from 7.00pm.
In addition to focusing on the many issues relating to the CAO applications process, the evening will also include talks and discussions on NUI Maynooth’s programmes in Arts, Engineering, Finance/Business and Science, as well as career choices. There will also be a specific session on the mature student experience.

Open Day 2006 took place on November 24th and 25th in the John Hume Building. Over 2,500 people, from 5th and 6th year students to guidance counsellors and parents, came to visit the college and listen to the various talks on the degrees available here at NUI Maynooth. The exam will take place on August 25th 2006. It is for students who do not obtain the required HC3 in Honours Leaving Certificate Mathematics. Students who have not put Engineering on their list of course choices for CAO can still apply using Vacant Places. Check here for further details on how to apply.
